Family Values
It’s the Great Pond’s vision to provide a safe and fun environment for families to connect with each other and nature! As such, we host guests that take great care to respect other families and children staying with us and limit public consumption of alcohol, profanity, or lewd behavior in public areas. We want everyone to have fun!
-
Furry Friends
Great Pond Family Camps has a strict no pet policy. We LOVE our furry friends, and you may get to meet our guard dog, Poppy but our camps aren’t set up to host our four legged friends.
-
Nature: Pack in Pack Out
Do you know something we love about our 17 acres of wilderness adventure? It’s unpolluted and sparkling clean. We ask that our guests take great care in not leaving a trace when they visit our camps. Don’t worry, we’re here to help!
-
Wildlife Encounters
Great Pond is home to many animals including bears, moose, deer, loons, and more! Due to the location of our cabins in forested areas, there is a chance guests will encounter some type of wildlife, or insect. Each cabin is professionally treated on a scheduled basis for interior pests, but due to the natural habitation of the forest, you may encounter one or two inside. Don’t fret! Our cabin hosts are professional bug squashers (or releasers).
Please don’t engage, feed, or play with wild animals. It is most definitely dangerous and we can’t be responsible if feeding a bear a snack ends up with you as one. -
Shooting Guns & Fireworks
For the safety of our guests, guns and fireworks are expressly prohibited on the property. Great Pond Family Camps are designed for exploration and a target practice or shooting area is not designated.
If you’d like to get some target practice in, we can show you the right local places to check out!
